About the Garden

Cairns and Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province China officially became Sister Cities in August 2004. Both cities have many similar features including a tropical climate, seaside location, tourism and agriculture with a substantial sugar industry. This garden recognises the importance and close friendship of the two cities.
